Great quality little gaiwan, perfect for a solo session. Holds heat very well, and I plan on using this for as long as I drink tea.

It's more squat than many of the other gaiwans I've owned. As a result that clam shell type hold where you hold the lid with your thumb and the bottom with your fingers feels comfortable when pouring which is wonderful because I find that very aesthetically pleasing. The cracks in the glaze are already being accentuated by the tea nicely and it's a great volume if you want to have more than one tea during a session without getting too caffeinated.

I love this little guy it is my go to for my little morning session before work. It's so comfortable in the hand and just feels like it's ment to brew! I also really love the color of it the pictures just don't do it justice. Depending on the lighting it can appear to be an off white or a subtle green or
subtle blue color. It has a simple kind of beauty to it ✨️
