Oolong Horder | 60g rolled

For whatever reason, this is what the jars of Wildfire from Song of Ice and Fire looked like in our minds (we’ve been re-reading the books lately)

Made in that classic Fanggu style, it brings to mind old poorly thrown jars with a lot of Wabi-Sabi.  The cork at the top is a nice touch, but it doesn’t create an air-tight seal, so be sure to store tea that ages well.

These jars are fairly small though, and can’t hold very much tea if it isn’t tightly rolled, or pressed into tea cakes.  We use it for breaking up pieces of whichever tea cake we are drinking most recently and can store about 60 grams of rolled oolong tea.

Although we should be selling this piece for $38, it really didn't feel worth that amount.  This jar was the most expensive of the tea jars we recently stocked, but it has a lot less utility.  While beautiful and rustic in the hand or on the shelf, we just had to mark it down to honor the other jars that do just as good of a job at up to half the price.
