The pictures don't convey how large this bowl is. It's bigger than most gaiwans, which means you can pour an entire steep and it will still leave enough room for the fragrance to fill the rest of the bowl. The foot of the bowl makes it feel a bit like a ritual vessel. There is some wavy unevenness in the glossy glaze, which does not impact the elegance of the overall piece and the feel of it in the hand.
