This pot has the feeling of antiquity about it.From the shape, the mottled glaze, the rough edges, it doesn’t feel like a pot you’d find sitting on a shelf at Walmart.
With an aggressively angled spout that proudly stands almost straight up, we were surprised how well it pours, but the wide belly really helps the pour functionality.
With a shape that falls close to the artistic side of the utilitarian spectrum, we find that it is a pleasantly surprising piece; humble in its usefulness, flashy in its design.
While there isn't any one way to make a tea set we find this to pair and match nicely with many wood fired pieces, so if that it something you are looking for later down the line in your collecting, this pot will be a great choice.
Also, at 150ml it's a very versatile pot being able to pour for 3-4 people.
