"Do I need it?" The question I've been pondering over before making the purchase, but, it was great buy for a great price. This bamboo scoop has made filling my teapot smoother and easier. Don't get me wrong, scooping with your fingers does the job but I enjoy having an accessory that lets the tea leaves slide right in to my pot without having to fuss with the little bits falling. I enjoy the aesthetics of the bamboo that also puts me into a zen kind of mood.
