Sometimes art doesnt make sense... and sometimes it does.
The honeypot is a perfect practical excample that combines the features of Master Kemin's apprentices that we have come to love, the no-touch lid, trimless bodies and sunflower attachments.
Unlike it's side handled brothers which are more quirky like the lid on the Muffin Top or handle of the OG Apple, the honeypot just works.
You can flip it upside down on top of a glass pitcher, and watch the tea drain down the walls while tucked away at your desk
or
show off to all your nerdy tea friends with a slow pour with the magical lid you don't need to touch.
Speaking of lids, unlike the more delicate lid of the Apple Pie, this lid button is sturdy and feels sustantial in the hand.
Not to mention the well tapered lid with a thicker center to razor fine edge which perfectly nestle in the gallery of the pot for 0% chance of falling out.
The elegance in this pot isn't in its high art but rather it's functional perfection.
Man... I wish I liked every pot this much, it was so easy to gush about.
Dart's Take: This pot isn't elegant or dainty. It feels like the workhorse version of the Apple Pie with a thicker lid and bigger body that just works.
Derek's Take: I absolutely love this pot, the shape is one that I've seen before and I asked the apprentices if they could make something similar, and they just nailed it.

Oh i love this pot, you can feel the love that the apprentice put into it.
The texture is extremely interesting on the lid, like digging with your finger in a blueberry mousse.
It pours well if you go slow and relaxed, for the artistic nature of the lid if you pour too fast it spill a little bit... I still think that isn't a flaw but more a consequence to not dedicate enough time to yourself in the tea session; like a thick bowl (master cup ) that is too hot to handle ( do you want to shove 90 ml of boiling tea down your throat? well not with me).
For me this teapot is more on the chill vibe like: hey man pick me up! we go on break.
PS i use it for ball shape oolong.
Ps for the teapot geeks out there my teapot pour in laminar flow on 22-25 cm from the cup.
I love this pot overall. I got it primarily for use with lighter, ball rolled oolongs because I liked the shape for the oolongs to be able to unroll fully. And this pot is perfect for that! But I love the shape and size. You can also see where it is textured where the handle and spout connect to the pot, which might technically be considered a flaw, I'm not sure, but I personally think it adds a lot of character to the pot. But there is one big flaw, which is the lid. The lid is more of a "cover" and it is difficult to pour without spilling. With a more fitted lid, this would be a 5 star pot!
