Artist - Huang Studio Potters
Capacity - ~200ml (see individual pots)
If our On the Ground pots are the quiet achievers of the kiln,
these are the ones that stood tall and took the full hit of the flame.
Size is a weird thing to talk about in the small teapot world with some thinking 100ml is too large and others saying 200ml is too small.
Like most things we sit somewhere in the middle, finding these pots good for group brewing (just make sure you have a big enough pitcher).
Larger in size and richer in color,
these teapots show off what happens when the fire has a little more room to move.
Where the smaller On the Ground pots lean darker and more metallic,
these carry wider color shifts — flashes of copper, deep reds, smoky blacks, and the occasional golden haze from ash.
Every surface tells a different part of the story.
They still sit in that sweet spot of affordability...
true wood-fired teaware without the “sell a kidney” price tag
that still bring a bolder presence to the tea table.
If you’re chasing more movement, more variety, and a little more chaos(as far as Chinese pots go) in your wood-fired collection,
these are the ones that quite literally fill the air.
