This tea bowl feels like half a lemon, and obviously looks just like one.
When we first received these pieces, we thought there was a mistake, it looks so much like a gaiwan that we were looking through the package for its lid.As the name implies, Gaiwan means lidded bowl, we received the tea bowl, but there is no lid to this one.
While the rim doesn’t flare out as much as a gaiwan would, there is a guilty pleasure we find when using this tea bowl, as if we were drinking from a gaiwan.The glaze is a soft, thick matte that feels nice and textured on the fingers.
