This piece is a balance of compromises, and it truly strikes a harmony.We wanted a larger tea tray that didn’t weigh 5 kilograms and didn’t cost an arm and a leg.With some clever engineering we found this piece to work really well for what we wanted.
The stone-like surface of the tray with a fine removable metal strainer in the middle give this piece the light weight and expansive feel we need without the weight or fragility of clay.Additionally there is an optional draining channel for those wanting to get more serious and use a waste water bucket on the floor below their tea table.
The way it all separates for easy cleaning and storage, and the way none of the pieces are made of delicate materials prone to breaking really give us confidence in using this piece regularly.We wish the outside material was a little nicer, but as we mentioned, this piece is a balance of compromises.
