The shape of this gaiwan’s lid is classic, when we go to old museums in China to look at the teaware from different dynasties, for hundreds of years this style of lidded bowl predominates.With a wide top knob and much more of a bowl shape than modern angular gaiwans, we feel transported when using this kind of gaiwan.
