Rent Free | Red

I just received my 100g cake today and brewed it up. I own and drink many quality red teas and I especially like pressed red tea, and this one just jumped to the front of the line for red cakes. It is that good. More of a cake than a brick, so it's easy to cut off a nice piece (which I like). It is creamy, malty, smooth, chocolate, gentle with a unique pleasing flavor this evolves in subtle but pleasing ways with each infusion. This one definitely lives in my head rent free.

I have had a wide variety of red teas over the years, and I feel ordering online can be really hit or miss. But let me tell you Rent Free is living up to the name. The sweet, clean flavor with just enough astringency, and every steep the flavor got better and better.

Very tasty, love it! Just know the cake is very dense and hard to break, but just me frankly.. I use 4g for 100ml and brew it 3 times only because my schedule. But I’m sure it could go many more times. 2 thumbs up.

I received a sample of this tea when I ordered a cake of Sweet Sippin’. I’m very new to tea, I’ve been gong fu brewing maybe for about six or seven months. That being said, it took me a minute to figure this one out. But, once I did, I couldn’t believe how much flavor I was hit with. It tasted like I was drinking straight black cherry juice. I’ve ended up ordering a cake, but have yet to dig into it yet, but I’m excited to! I should also mention, I love how the samples are pressed. Being so new to tea, I have a lot of samples. Some companies press their samples so tight they are almost not worth dealing with. Not the case with the samples I’ve received! They are perfectly pressed

I really enjoyed this tea the 1st time in a gaiwan but lately I have been grandpa brewing this for work & the flavors are amazing! Does not get bitter, nice smooth & creamy. Has quickly become my fav & go to for grandpa style.
