I just received my 100g cake today and brewed it up. I own and drink many quality red teas and I especially like pressed red tea, and this one just jumped to the front of the line for red cakes. It is that good. More of a cake than a brick, so it's easy to cut off a nice piece (which I like). It is creamy, malty, smooth, chocolate, gentle with a unique pleasing flavor this evolves in subtle but pleasing ways with each infusion. This one definitely lives in my head rent free.
I have had a wide variety of red teas over the years, and I feel ordering online can be really hit or miss. But let me tell you Rent Free is living up to the name. The sweet, clean flavor with just enough astringency, and every steep the flavor got better and better.
Very tasty, love it! Just know the cake is very dense and hard to break, but just me frankly.. I use 4g for 100ml and brew it 3 times only because my schedule. But I’m sure it could go many more times. 2 thumbs up.
