We always love these angular pots.They always stand out among a crowd of round, wheel thrown pieces.
The shape reminds us of a tall pear, but accentuated by the bud-like lid button and earthy color glaze.The overall feeling is something natural and rustic, like a brown pear.
While the piece is a little small, we were happy to feel the handle is large enough to fit our finger comfortably so that we don’t have to pinch-grip this pot.
The angular sides remind us of Yixing Pots, but this was a really nice find for someone who wants to explore teaware with a more natural angular or natural look too it.
While there isn't any one way to make a tea set we find this to pair and match nicely with many wood fired pieces, so if that it something you are looking for later down the line in your collecting, this pot will be a great choice.
Also, at 150ml it's a very versatile pot being able to pour for 3-4 people.
